Connect Todoist to AI: keep your task list current while you talk

Todoist can be connected to AI. The assistant knows your projects, tells you what is due today or overdue and on request adds a task that you schedule in plain language. It can also tick a task off, and you see that straight away in the app on your phone.

Todoist is not a project tool for a department but the list of one person. Everything you do not want to forget goes in it: call a supplier, read a document, pass something on to a colleague. That is exactly why it is so annoying when you are in the middle of something and have to open the app to add a task. Usually you do not, and the commitment disappears into the margin of a notebook or into your head. With an AI connector you simply say it. The assistant puts the task in the project it belongs to and schedules it the way you say it out loud: tomorrow at nine, every Monday, next Thursday. The other way round, you ask what is on the list today or what has slipped past its date, and you get a short set instead of the whole inbox. It can also tick something off when you say it is done. That last part only happens when you really ask, because a completed task disappears from your list at once and you do not want that by accident.

What the assistant does with your task list

Ask for your open tasks

You ask what is still waiting and the assistant returns the active tasks. It keeps to part of the list, because reading out the complete inbox helps nobody at the start of a working day.

Pick the right project

Your tasks are spread across projects, from work and personal to a list per client. The assistant knows those projects and puts a new task in the list where it belongs instead of letting everything land in the inbox.

Today and overdue

Todoist has its own views for what is due today and what has slipped past its date. The assistant uses those notions, so your question about what has to be finished today yields an answer that fits that day.

Add a task in plain language

You say when something has to happen the way you would say it to a colleague: tomorrow at nine, every Monday, end of the month. The assistant records the task that way, with the priority and the labels you mention.

Tick a task off

If something is done, the assistant can complete it. The task then leaves your list and that is visible straight away on all your devices, so it only acts when you ask for it explicitly.

How people use this through the day

Legal

Situation
While going through a contract, three points come up that have to be queried.
What the agent does
The assistant puts a task per point in the matter project, with the date the lawyer names.
Result
The follow-up is recorded before the document is closed, not in the margin.

Healthcare

Situation
A coordinator starts her shift and wants to know what still has to happen today.
What the agent does
The assistant gives the tasks for today plus whatever has slipped past its date, ordered per project.
Result
A start of the day without scrolling through the whole list first.

Consulting

Situation
After a client meeting there are commitments that would otherwise only be written down that evening.
What the agent does
The consultant dictates the actions and the assistant puts them in that client project with the right dates.
Result
Nothing is left hanging in notes that have to be retyped later.

Self-employment

Situation
At the end of the week tasks are still open that were done long ago but never ticked off.
What the agent does
The assistant goes through them, asks per task whether it may complete it and ticks off what is finished.
Result
The list is accurate again and the week does not start with a backlog that is not real.

Getting it ready for daily use

  1. 1

    Connect to your account

You connect Todoist inside IntraGPT with access you grant yourself. Want to stop, then you withdraw that access and the connection is gone.

  2. 2

    Who uses the connector

A Todoist list is personal, so the connector belongs to the assistant of that one employee. Colleagues are not offered it.

  3. 3

    What the assistant retrieves

Per question part of your list comes back, a project or the tasks for today for instance. The rest stays out of the conversation.

  4. 4

    Adding and completing

Whether the assistant may only look along or also add and complete tasks is a setting. What it does appears in the log.

Connected securely

A personal list stays personal

A task list mixes work commitments with everything someone does not want to forget privately. That is why this connector stays tied to one user.

Where the data lives: Nederland of de EU

Access you grant yourself

The connector works with access you issue in Todoist and can withdraw at any moment. Do that and there is nothing left to retrieve.

Tied to one user

The list of one employee does not end up in the assistant of another. Whoever looks along is the same person who keeps the list.

Visible what was done

Added and completed tasks appear in the log. If something disappears from your list, it is traceable when that happened and after which question.

On our own server

The model runs on our own server in the Netherlands. The content of your task list does not go to an American model provider and is never used for training.

Questions about the Todoist connector

Can I connect Todoist to ChatGPT?

ChatGPT has no connection to Todoist. You can paste a list into it, but then it stays talking about your tasks and nothing changes in the app. IntraGPT looks into your list live with the access you grant yourself, and can add and complete tasks if you allow it.

Does IntraGPT work with Todoist?

Yes. Todoist is in the IntraGPT connector catalogue and is in use at customers. The assistant can review your projects and open tasks, add a task and complete a task.

Can I really schedule a task in plain language?

Yes, and that is exactly what Todoist is good at. You say tomorrow at nine, every Monday or end of the month, and the task lands in your list that way. The assistant therefore does not calculate dates for you but passes your words to Todoist, which turns them into a moment. That saves trouble with recurring tasks, where a manually entered date often goes wrong.

Can the assistant tick tasks off?

If you switch that on, yes. A completed task leaves your list immediately and you see that change on your phone and in your browser right away. That is why the assistant first asks which task it means, and never completes several at once without your confirmation. If you would rather not have that option, you leave it on looking and adding.

Does it work with shared projects too?

Yes. If you share a project with colleagues, the assistant can look into it and add a task just as well. Do bear in mind that whatever it adds or completes is visible to everyone in that project, exactly as when you do it yourself. For lists that are genuinely private nothing changes: those stay yours alone.

Can my employer see my personal list?

No. The connector belongs to your own assistant and your own access. Colleagues are not offered that connector and therefore do not see the content of your list in their conversations. It is recorded that tasks were retrieved or added, so an administrator can see that the connector is being used, not what is on it.

What does a Todoist connector cost?

The connecting is part of the track we go through together. With Todoist the work is limited, because it concerns one person and one list. What matters most is whether the assistant may also add and complete tasks and for how many employees you want to set this up.

How long does setup take?

For one user it is done in a quarter of an hour. Setting it up for a team means everyone connects their own list, and the time goes mostly into explaining it. In practice people notice after a day or two that they hardly open the app themselves for small things any more.
