An administrator connects Segment from within IntraGPT and states which source it is. That access can be revoked at any moment, without anything else in the data landscape changing.

The real work sits here. Events and traits have to be named exactly as in your existing measurement plan, otherwise duplicate variants appear in every connected tool at once.

Sending only, never of its own accord
The agent passes nothing on at its own initiative. There is always an explicit instruction or a workflow somebody deliberately set up.
No reading side
Through this connector the platform retrieves nothing from Segment. So you cannot read customer profiles with it, and nothing can leak out along this route either.
Agreed names and fields
We record which events and traits may be passed on. That prevents a new, half correct variant appearing in ten systems at the same time.
Processing on our own server
Processing happens on our own server in the Netherlands. Nothing that passes through is used for training.
Questions about the Segment connector
Can I connect Segment to ChatGPT?
There is no managed connection that lets an organisation have ChatGPT write into a Segment source, with roles and a log of what was sent. IntraGPT connects on your own source, with a recorded list of permitted events, and every send is visible afterwards.
Does IntraGPT work with Segment?
Yes, and it is a working integration in use at customers. The agent can pass on an event, traits of a person or a page visit. Retrieving data from Segment is not possible, because Segment is a pipe and not a source to read from.
Can we look up customer profiles with this?
No. This connector only sends data into Segment. If you want questions answered about visitors or behaviour, that belongs with the tools Segment delivers to, for instance a web statistics connector or a product analytics connector.
What happens if we spell a name wrong?
A new variant appears alongside the existing one in every connected destination. That is hard to undo, because each system has already stored it. So we work from a recorded list of permitted names and the agent shows what it is about to send.
What does a Segment connector cost?
The connector is part of the trajectory we go through together. The work sits mostly in aligning with your measurement plan and in deciding who may pass data on, not in the connecting itself.
How long does setting it up take?
Connecting is quick. The time goes into agreeing which events may be added and what they are called. If a good measurement plan already exists that is a short conversation. If it does not, this is a good moment to write one.
Does this affect our existing tracking?
No, it sits alongside it. The measurement code on the website keeps doing what it does; this connector adds events that happen outside the website and were therefore never recorded.
Can we test first without touching the real destinations?
Yes, by pointing the connector at a test source instead of the production source. Everything arrives but does not reach the connected systems, so you can check the names at your leisure.
