Connecting Salesforce to AI: an answer without a report request
Salesforce can be connected to AI. The assistant searches the objects you release, from Lead and Contact to Account, Opportunity and Case, and can create a record or update a field. Someone who cannot build a report still gets an answer out of the CRM, without a request landing on the administrator's desk.
What the assistant does for you in Salesforce
Ask a targeted question
Ask about the opportunities closing this month, the accounts in a given industry or the cases of one customer. The assistant retrieves exactly those records, with the fields the question calls for.
Search when you do not know where something sits
If all you have is a name, a company or an email address, the assistant searches several objects at once. It reports whether it is a lead, a contact or an account and then continues in that object.
Create a record
A new lead or contact is recorded with first name, last name, email address, company, phone number and status. The assistant checks first whether the record already exists, so no duplicate lead appears.
Update fields
A status, an owner or a close date can be changed on an existing record. The assistant first shows which record it has in hand and which fields it wants to change, and only proceeds once you approve.
Your own configuration
Alongside the standard objects the assistant works with the custom objects and custom fields that exist in your Salesforce. It goes by the names as they appear on your screens and does not invent any.
Questions that otherwise reach the administrator
Sales
- Situation
- A rep wants to know which opportunities in their territory are set to close this month.
- What the agent does
- The assistant retrieves the opportunities with their stage, amount and expected close date, limited to that territory.
- Result
- An answer in the chat without a report being built or amended.
Customer service
- Situation
- Someone calls with a complaint and the agent does not know whether a case is already open.
- What the agent does
- The assistant searches the email address across the objects and returns the open cases and the related account.
- Result
- The customer does not have to tell the story a second time.
Marketing
- Situation
- After a webinar a list of attendees arrives that has to be followed up.
- What the agent does
- The assistant checks per attendee whether a lead or contact already exists and records only the missing leads.
- Result
- Follow-up starts the same day, without a file full of duplicates.
Management
- Situation
- The board wants pipeline value per region but does not want a dashboard rebuilt for it.
- What the agent does
- The assistant groups the opportunities per stage and per region and adds up the amounts.
- Result
- A figure with the underlying records attached, so the number can be checked.
Inside sales
- Situation
- A phone note has to land on the right contact, including the new status.
- What the agent does
- The assistant finds the contact, confirms it has the right one and updates only the status field.
- Result
- The records are right without anyone clicking through screens.
What is needed before it works
-
1
Consent from your administrator
Your Salesforce administrator grants IntraGPT permission to act on behalf of a Salesforce user. That consent can be withdrawn at any moment, after which the connector falls silent.
-
2
Release the objects
You decide which objects take part. It often starts with accounts, contacts and opportunities, with cases or a custom object added later once there are real questions about them.
-
3
Look only, or update too
By default the assistant only looks on. Creating and updating records are enabled separately, and even then it writes only on an explicit request and to a record it has shown you first.
-

Set the roles and look along
You assign the assistant to the teams that work with Salesforce. Everything it retrieves or changes is written to the log, and we set it up together with your administrator.
The rights in Salesforce stay in charge
A Salesforce setup carries years of agreements about who may see what. The connector does not push those aside, it works underneath them.
Where the data lives: Nederland of de EU
The same rights as an employee
The assistant acts on behalf of a Salesforce user and sees nothing more than that user may see. Profiles, permission sets and the sharing rules your administrator configured all continue to apply in full.
Consent you withdraw
Access is granted by your administrator and can be withdrawn by them. No employee password is stored and the assistant never signs in to the web interface.
Always a bounded question
The assistant retrieves the records that belong to the question asked and sticks to the fields it needs. There is no way to export an entire object in one go.
On your own server
The model runs on a dedicated server in the Netherlands. Data from Salesforce is not sent to an American model provider and is never used for training.
Questions about Salesforce and IntraGPT
Can I connect Salesforce to ChatGPT?
ChatGPT has no connection to your Salesforce environment and does not know your custom fields. IntraGPT does work with your own environment, and does so under the rights of a Salesforce user. The answer therefore stays inside the boundaries already agreed in Salesforce.
Does IntraGPT work with Salesforce?
Yes, Salesforce is a working integration already in use at customers. The assistant can look up leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities and cases, search across several objects and, where allowed, create or update records. Which of those are switched on is your decision.
Does it work with our custom objects and custom fields?
Yes. Almost every Salesforce environment carries its own objects and fields from the implementation project, and the assistant works with the names as they appear on your screens. It does not invent field names; when it is unsure it asks rather than guessing. Which custom objects take part is decided during setup.
Which Salesforce user does the assistant act as?
You choose that yourself, and it is the most important decision during setup. The assistant sees exactly what that user may see, with all the profiles and sharing rules that come with it. Many organisations create a dedicated user for this, so it is clear who is asking the questions and making the changes.
Can the assistant change records on its own?
Only if you have enabled creating and updating. When that is on, the assistant first shows which record is involved and which fields it wants to change, and nothing happens until you approve. Afterwards the log shows when and at whose request a change was made.
What if we do not know whether something is a lead, a contact or an account?
That is exactly what searching across several objects is for. You supply a name, a company or an email address, and the assistant reports which object the match sits in. It then continues inside that object, instead of making you guess where the record belongs.
What does a Salesforce connector cost?
The connector is part of the project we run together. The work is driven by the number of objects, how much customisation your setup carries, whether updating is allowed and which roles get the assistant. We make that concrete in a thirty minute call.
How long does setup take?
Once consent is in place and it is clear which user the assistant acts as, switching it on takes minutes. The lead time usually sits in agreeing the objects and the rights with the Salesforce administrator. With a lot of customisation it pays to start with a couple of objects.
