Connect WordPress to AI: drafts ready instead of retyping
WordPress can be connected to AI. IntraGPT searches the posts and pages of your own site, can write a new post and can update an existing text. Whatever the assistant writes lands as a draft in the admin area. Putting something online happens only when somebody asks for it in so many words, and the assistant names the title it will publish.
What the assistant does on the WordPress site
Search what is already there
The assistant searches the posts of the site by subject and reports which pieces cover it, with their date and whether they are online or still drafts. Even on a site with thousands of posts that stays a short answer.
The standing pages too
Next to posts the assistant looks in the pages of the site. That helps with texts that rarely change: terms, pricing, a service page or a contact page nobody keeps up to date any more.
Write a post
The assistant writes a post with a title, body, category and summary and files it in the admin area. It gets the draft status, so visitors to the site see nothing of it.
Update an existing text
An outdated price, a changed opening time or a paragraph that has to go: the assistant edits the existing post. The editorial team does not have to hunt the piece down first.
Going online only on request
Publishing is a separate act the assistant performs only when somebody explicitly asks for it. It names the title that will appear, so it is clear what becomes visible.
One site per connector
A connector belongs to one WordPress site. A second domain or a separate campaign site gets its own connector, so a draft can never land on the wrong website.
What an editorial team gains
Marketing and editorial
- Situation
- Before starting a new article the team wants to know whether this subject has been covered and which pieces are about it.
- What the agent does
- The assistant searches the published posts and lists the titles it finds with their dates.
- Result
- The writer starts with a picture of what is already there and can link to existing articles straight away.
Online shop
- Situation
- At the turn of a season a closing paragraph with an expired promotion has to come out of a dozen blog articles.
- What the agent does
- The assistant finds the posts that mention the promotion and updates the text of the ones that are pointed out.
- Result
- The clean-up happens in one conversation, and the editors check the result in the admin area as usual.
Customer service
- Situation
- Support notices the same question keeps returning while no explanatory page exists for it.
- What the agent does
- The assistant writes a draft based on the answers given earlier and files it in the right category.
- Result
- There is a starting version to sharpen up, instead of a blank screen and a good intention.
Communications
- Situation
- After a rename it has to become clear which posts and pages still refer to the old product name.
- What the agent does
- The assistant looks up the old name across posts and pages and reports the title and the online status for each hit.
- Result
- A concrete list to work through, instead of clicking through the admin menu by hand.
How the connector to your site is set up
-
1
Switched on in IntraGPT
The connector is switched on in IntraGPT and linked to your site, using a dedicated admin account you create for it. Nothing has to be installed on the site itself.
-
2
Rights and roles
The account used for the connection decides what is possible: may it publish, or only prepare drafts. On top of that you choose in IntraGPT which roles may use the WordPress actions at all.
-
3
What the assistant does and does not see
Only the posts and pages of the site. Settings, plugins, themes, the media library and the user overview stay outside the connector, even where the account itself could reach them.

What gets recorded
Every action lands in the log: who asked for it, what the assistant did and which post was involved. For a published text you can therefore see when it happened and at whose request.
A public site needs a brake
A WordPress site is visible to everyone, which makes writing different from reading: whatever goes online by accident is out there immediately. The connector is built around that.
Where the data lives: Nederland of de EU
Draft unless you ask otherwise
Everything the assistant writes stays a draft and is visible only in the admin area. Going online happens only on an explicit request, with the title stated, so you know what becomes visible.
Not every assistant may write
In IntraGPT you decide which roles may work with the site. An assistant that only answers questions about existing articles is simply never offered writing or publishing.
Everything sits in the log
Calls and errors land in the log with the action and the outcome. For an edited or published post you can see afterwards who asked for it and what exactly changed.
On our own server
The model runs on our own server in the Netherlands. Unfinished drafts stay inside that environment and are never used to train a model.
Questions about the WordPress connector
Can I connect WordPress to ChatGPT?
ChatGPT has no connection to your WordPress site. With IntraGPT you work in a conversation the same way, but with a connector tied to one site, which records who asked for what and which files new texts as drafts instead of throwing them online straight away.
Does IntraGPT work with WordPress?
Yes. WordPress is one of the connectors IntraGPT supports as standard, covering searching posts and pages, writing a new post and updating an existing text. No plugin has to be installed on the site.
Will the assistant publish things on our site on its own?
No. Everything the assistant writes stays a draft and lives only in the admin area. Going online happens only when somebody asks for it in so many words, and the assistant then names the title that becomes visible. To rule it out entirely, give the connected account no right to publish.
Does the assistant also see our visitors or our orders?
No. The connector covers posts and pages, so the texts on the site. Statistics, form submissions, customer accounts and shop orders are not part of it. If you want to do something with those, that is a different connector and a separate decision.
Does it work if we have several websites?
Yes, with a connector per website. A connector belongs to one site, so a campaign domain or a second brand gets its own connection with its own account. That is deliberate: it keeps a draft from landing on the wrong domain and lets you decide per site who may work with it.
Can we withdraw the connector again?
Yes, in two ways. In IntraGPT you switch the connector off, after which the assistant can do nothing with the site. On the WordPress side you can close the account that was created for the connector. The normal passwords of your own editors are untouched by either.
What does a WordPress connector cost?
The connector is part of the project we run together. What drives the work is the number of sites, whether the assistant may write as well and which roles may ask for that. We make it concrete in a thirty minute call.
How long does setup take?
The connection itself is made quickly and can be tested the same day. The lead time usually sits in the internal agreement: which account the connector uses, whether publishing is allowed and who may ask for it. Start with searching and writing, and enable publishing once the trust is there.
