Connecting Exact Online to AI: answers from the ledger without logging in
Exact Online can be connected to AI. IntraGPT works inside the administration you specify, reads debtors and sales invoices, and can create a sales invoice when you allow it. Questions about open items or about what a customer bought this quarter are answered straight from the administration, without anyone logging in or running an export.
What the connector pulls from Exact Online
Retrieve debtors
The agent reads the customer accounts from the CRM part of Exact Online, filtered on name, code or another field. It fetches only the fields that belong to the question, not the whole customer base.
Read sales invoices
Sales invoices come back with their amounts, dates and the related account. With a filter on period or status the agent answers questions such as which invoices from last month are still open.
Create a sales invoice
The agent can book a sales invoice with the account, a description and the invoice lines. That is a real entry in the administration, so it happens only on explicit request and after showing what will be written.
Targeted lookups, not exports
The assistant searches by account, period, status or amount and retrieves only what the question is about. Answers stay fast, and the agent never sees more of the ledger than the question requires.

Which administration takes part is fixed during setup. If you run several administrations you set up a connector for each one, so figures never get mixed up.

Make the connection
An administrator with rights on the administration grants permission from the platform to look into Exact Online on your behalf. That permission lives on your own Exact account and can be withdrawn there.

Pick the administration
You choose which administration the connector sees. One connector per administration, so figures from another set of books never show up in an answer.

Read or also book
By default the connector only reads. If you want the agent to be able to create a sales invoice you switch that on separately; otherwise the action stays out of reach for the model.

Follow along in the log
Every question put to Exact Online is written to the log with the action and the outcome. If the permission lapses, the connector says so and asks the administrator to renew it instead of quietly retrying.
Financial data and who may see it
A ledger is sensitive: revenue, margins and how customers pay. The connector is set up so that only the people entitled to it see anything come out.

The connector works with a permission you grant yourself and can withdraw yourself. IntraGPT never stores an Exact Online password.
Not for everyone
You decide in IntraGPT which roles may use the finance agent. An assistant for the shop floor simply never sees it.
Every entry traceable
Every lookup lands in the log with the action and the outcome. For a created invoice you can therefore see when it happened and at whose request.
On your own server
The model runs on your own server. Figures from Exact Online are not sent to an American model provider and are never used for training.
Questions about the Exact Online connector
Can I connect Exact Online to ChatGPT?
ChatGPT has no built-in connection to Exact Online, and pasting your ledger into a public chatbot is not a good idea. With IntraGPT you chat in the same way, but with a connector tied to one administration that fetches only what the question needs and records every lookup.
Does IntraGPT work with Exact Online?
Yes. Exact Online is in the IntraGPT catalogue with a connector of its own for debtors, sales invoices and creating a sales invoice, built on the official connection Exact provides.
Does it also work with Exact Globe or Exact Online Belgium?
The connector works with Exact Online, Belgium included. During setup you simply pick the Belgian administration; nothing else changes. Exact Globe is a different product with a different entry point; tell us what you run and we will look into it.
Can the AI book invoices on its own?
Only if you switch that on. When it is on, the agent creates a sales invoice only after an explicit request and first shows which account, description and lines it wants to write. You check amounts, VAT and ledger before anything lands in the administration.
What does an Exact Online connector cost?
The connector is part of the project we run together. What drives the work is the number of administrations, whether booking is needed and which roles may use the agent. We make that concrete in a thirty minute call.
How long does setup take?
Once the administrator has granted permission and the administration is known, switching it on is a matter of minutes. The lead time usually sits in arranging internally who may grant that permission and which employees may use the agent.
What happens when the permission lapses?
Permission in Exact Online has a limited life and renews itself as long as it stays valid. If it does lapse, because someone withdrew it or the account changed, the log says so in plain words and the connector asks the administrator to grant permission again. It does not keep retrying blindly.
Does the AI see all financial data?
No. Every action is bounded to debtors and sales invoices within a single division, and the agent retrieves only the data the question needs. There is no action that exports the entire administration.
